The Cost of Divorce and the Financial Risks Involved

Nobody marries with the expectation of failure.  Married couples never contemplate that the person they once loved could later on seem to be a stranger and perhaps even an enemy. This is one of the harshest realities and it will take time adjust to the situation, both financially and emotionally

Emotionally speaking, divorce can be an extremely painful process. Whereas you were once of the opinion that you had a love to last a lifetime, you now realise that this is no longer the case. But if the matters of the heart seem complicated, they are nothing in comparison with the financial aspects involved with the legal dissolution of a marriage. These aspects are multiple, and can sometimes be very complex, having a variety of lasting consequences for all parties who are involved in the divorce process, including children.

One party is likely to have to be re-housed - maintaining two households means that there will be less money for other things. Inevitably, both parties will find that they need to make financial concessions. At the same time, no-one wants to have to suffer financial cuts. This will increase the potential for conflict and tensions will be high.

Your financial future is at stake; don't forget it and don't hold back out of feelings and emotions for the other partner.
